Construction of both our new Canfield and Larchmont branches continues to remain on schedule to be completed in early 2019.
The new Larchmont branch continues to take shape as the plywood sheeting is applied to the external frame. Once this is complete, the windows and doors will be installed over the next month followed by brickwork.
New high-illumination, high-efficiency LED light poles will be installed in the new parking lot in the coming weeks with additional lighting being added to the existing parking lot to provide even better lighting and safety to our Members and employees.
Our existing Larchmont branch and drive-thru remain open during construction although traffic patterns in the parking area have changed.
At the Canfield branch, wall framing inside of the building is complete, and the windows have been installed, which means that the entire building is enclosed, other than the doorways. Also, the primary elements of the roof are in place, including a skylight that will allow for natural light to filter into the building while still providing excellent insulation.
The external brickwork of the building is underway and will continue over the next few weeks. The concrete work – the sidewalks and curb – surrounding the building is also complete, and paving the parking lot will be the next step.
