Youngstown Residential Property Improvement Programs

Two impactful initiatives for Youngstown property owners.

  • Supporting homeownership
  • Improving housing conditions
  • Strengthening our communities

Building stronger neighborhoods, one home at a time

7 17 Credit Union has partnered with the City of Youngstown, Ohio to administer $13 million in America Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds across two programs. These initiatives focus on enhancing housing conditions, supporting homeownership, and strengthening neighborhoods within the City of Youngstown —making Youngstown a better place to call home. These programs are for Youngstown residents only.

7 17 Credit Union and the City of Youngstown have worked together to administer an agreement surrounding 8 million dollars in ARPA funds for housing construction. 7 17 will act as a fiscal agent in providing funds to the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation (YNDC) for the construction of new housing.

YNDC is a citywide community development organization established in 2010 to stabilize neighborhoods and improve housing quality in Youngstown. It has significant experience managing and utilizing federal funds to accomplish the goal of developing and constructing new housing.

7 17 continues to work with the City of Youngstown to administer ARPA funds in Youngstown for the residential façade loan/grant match program, and the landlord property improvement loan program.
